The Del Día Story
To prioritize sustainability for both people and the planet, we aim to create sustainable gear, partner with factories that respect and promote workers’ rights, and reduce our environmental impact. We are also open about the work we still have to do and how we are addressing the challenges we face.
Deadstock is leftover high-quality fabric that has not been used by the original manufacturer or retailer. A product made from deadstock has, on average, an approximately 30% smaller ecological footprint than if it were made from new fabric. We use deadstock in our Del Día and Teca collections.
30% less CO₂ emissions
By prioritizing recycled materials over virgin (or unused) materials in our designs, we reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and divert waste from landfills. Our Teca Cálido Jackets, a number of our fleece vests, our Cada Día Bags, our Capa Jackets, and our activewear all feature recycled content.
Towards real climate impact
‘Responsible’ means a material, supplier, or product with an independent third-party sustainability certification, such as Fair Trade Certified™ or bluesign-certified. All of our down jackets use animal-friendly insulation that is certified to the Responsible Down Standard, and the majority of our logo wear and beanies are made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.
Why so colorful?
Each Del Día bag is the result of many hands. Whether it's aquamarine blue, deep violet, or ruby red – the seamstresses decide. They put together the unusual color combinations that make each piece unique and therefore have the ultimate creative control.
